Three recent events I've attended:
The Hoop Dance Competition is held at the Heard Museum of Native American Culture in Phoenix. Hoop dancing has been done in ceremonies and is now also done in competitions; in it the dancers manipulate a number of hoops into various patterns while keeping time to the drummers.
Dia de los Vaqueros is an event in Tucson that includes this parade, billed as as the country's largest non-motorized parade. Everything is pulled by horses or mules.
Lost Dutchman Days is an annual event in Apache Junction whose highlight is a rodeo.
